Natalia Glowacka, M.Sc., M.A., PhD., born in 1987, finished Fine Arts at the Faculty of Art Education at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (Poland) in the studio of prof. Werner Lubos (2012 – Master’s degree – easel painting, Master of Fine Arts), got also her Master’s degree in Biotechnology with specialisation on Biotechnology of microorganisms. In 2018 she finished her doctoral (PhD) degree at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia (subject: Environmental management). She works currently as expert with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and UNEP‘s World Water Quality Alliance on a novel approach for citizen engagement employing Science and Art, the RENAISSANCE Concept.
“Art is for me an internal fantasy world, a world where I often run away and without which I cannot live. Currently, I live in the land of mountains and beautiful nature – Slovakia, where I work and try to implement my artistic world. My artwork recently resulted in my 10th individual exhibition of paintings. My art is present in homes of Polish and foreign collectors. Going back to my beginnings I have always loved to create, for me it was like the air necessary for living. Modest fun with art turned into true love. Art gives me the pure freedom and is the best way to express my thoughts and feelings, the most interesting topic for me was always human being, mysterious creature that hides many beautiful but also dark elements of its nature.“
Urodzona w 1987 r. absolwentka malarstwa na Wydziale Wychowania Artystycznego Akademii im. Jana Długosza w Częstochowie, w pracowni prof. Wernera Lubosa (2012 – dyplom magisterski – malarstwo sztalugowe, mgr. Sztuki); mgr. Biotechnologii, specjalizacja Biotechnologia mikroorganizmów. W 2018 ukończyła studia doktoranckie na Uniwersytecie Rolniczym w Nitrze, Słowacja (kierunek: Zarządzanie środowiskiem). Obecnie jest konsultantem we Wspólnym Centrum Badawczym Komisji Europejskiej, Joint Research Centre (JRC), gdzie pracuje nad koncepcją RENAISSANCE – nowatorskim podejściem do zaangażowania obywateli odnośnie świadomości związanej z ochroną środowiska z wykorzystaniem połączenia nauki i sztuki.
„Sztukę traktuję jak wewnętrzny świat fantazji, świat do którego często uciekam i bez którego nie potrafię żyć. Obecnie żyję w krainie gór i pięknej przyrody – Słowacji, gdzie pracuję i próbuję realizować się artystycznie, co ostatnio zaowocowało moją dziesiątą indywidualną wystawą malarstwa. Moje obrazy goszczą juz w domach polskich i zagranicznych kolekcjonerów. Wracając do moich początków od zawsze kochałam tworzyć, było to dla mnie jak powietrze niezbędne do życia. Skromna zabawa ze sztuką przerodziła się w prawdziwą miłóść, która spowodowała, że w 2012 roku zostałam absolwentką Malarstwa na Wydziale Wychowania Artystycznego Akademii im. Jana Długosza w Częstochowie, w pracowni prof. Wernera Lubosa, kończąc kierunek ze specjalizacją malarstwo sztalugowe. Sztuka daje mi wolność i jest najlepszym środkiem wyrazu moich przemyśleń i uczuć, najciekawszym tematem był dla mnie zawsze człowiek, zagadkowa istota, która kryje wiele pięknych ale także mrocznych elementów swojej natury.“
